Ask us to erase, send or correct your data
This form goes to the person at HIRING UK responsible for data protection, our Data Protection Lead, Grigore Octavian Pupazan. It is free of charge, it does not need a reason, and we answer within one month as required by the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Proving it is you: in most cases, writing from the email address you used on the site is enough and we will ask for nothing more. If we cannot tell that the request is yours, or acting on it could expose somebody else's data, we may ask one simple question about your own records, for example which job you applied to and roughly when. We ask only for what is necessary and proportionate, and we do not demand a passport or a bank statement as a matter of routine. If we ever did need to see a document we would say exactly why, take only what we needed, and delete it as soon as the request was closed.
Your rights, in plain English
Erase my data (right to erasure). Delete my CV, profile, applications and any other personal data you hold about me.
Send me my data (subject access request). A copy of the personal data you hold about me, and who it has been shared with.
Correct my data (right to rectification). Something you hold about me is wrong or out of date and needs correcting.
Pause the use of my data (right to restriction). Keep my data but stop using it while something is checked or disputed.
Stop processing my data (right to object). I object to my data being used for a particular purpose.
Send my data to me or somebody else (portability). A machine readable copy of the data I gave you.
Withdraw my consent. Stop the job alert emails and close my candidate account.
We can only refuse a request in the narrow cases the law allows, and if we do we will explain why and tell you how to challenge it.
