What it is
HIRINGUK LTD is a recruitment business as well as a job board. That means we sometimes have roles of our own to fill, permanent and temporary, for employers who ask us to find people rather than advertise.
If you tick the box when you apply, we keep a copy of your CV so we can contact you about those roles. That is the whole purpose. Nothing else.
The box is unticked by default and it is separate from the application itself. Leaving it unticked changes nothing: your application goes to that employer exactly the same way.
Who can see it
- The HIRING UK team. That is it.
- The employer whose advert you applied to already has the copy you sent them, which is separate and unaffected.
- No other employer can see it. There is no search, no browsing, no access for advertisers, and nothing for anybody to buy.
- We do not sell it, rent it, share it, or use it to train any artificial intelligence model.
The database sits behind our own admin login and is not reachable from any public page.
How long we keep it
Twelve months from the last time you confirmed it. We email you before that, and if you do nothing the record and the CV file are erased automatically.
How to withdraw
Every email we send has a one click link. Or sign in to your candidate area, or ask at dpo@hiringuk.co.uk. It takes effect immediately and we do not ask why.
Sensitive information
Please leave health, ethnicity, religion, union membership and similar details out of your CV: we do not need them and we discourage them. If they are in there anyway, we hold them only on your explicit consent under Article 9(2)(a) UK GDPR, only for the purpose you gave them for, and never for anything else.
What we will not do
We will never charge you a penny, for anything. Work seekers are never charged a fee, which is the law as well as our policy. We will not put you forward for a job without speaking to you first.
The exact words you agree to
Keep my CV and details on file at HIRINGUK LTD so the HIRING UK team can contact me about other jobs, including roles HIRINGUK LTD recruits for as an employment agency or employment business. I understand my CV is not shared with any other employer or sold to anybody, that only the HIRING UK team can see it, that it is erased after twelve months unless I confirm again, and that I can withdraw at any time with one click.
We store those words with the date you agreed, so we can always show you what you actually consented to. If we ever change the wording, we ask again rather than assume.
